Kitsap County Classic Tournament Preview!

With a full slate of teams and a sunny weather forecast it looks like it will be a great weekend of Baseball for the Mounties as they travel to Bremerton, WA to compete in the Kitsap County Classic.

The Mounties will open up against Bremerton's 15U West Hills Vipers.  The Mounties beat the 14U Vipers by a 9 - 5 score earlier this year in the USSSA Spring Classic but will now be in tough facing the older 15U West Hills Viper Team. 

In the 2nd game the Mounties will play the host 15U Kitsap Americans, a team that will be looking for revenge after the Mounties beat and eliminated them in the 2010 USSSA Summer Celebration Tournament.

Teams to Watch:

14U Seattle Select Purple 
This powerhouse 14U Seattle Select Purple team is currently in first place in the Seattle Elite Leagues 14U North Division with a 7 - 1 record.  They also have a 7 and 2 record in USSSA Tournaments this year coming first in the Mothers Day Melee Tournament and picking up a silver medal in the PC Diamond Jaxx Spring Qualifier Tournament.  Although they will be stepping up in age for this tournament they will certainly be one of the teams to watch out for.

16U Crimson Braves
The Crimson Braves hail out of Auburn Washington and have already picked up a tournament win hoisting the trophy at the USSSA 16U Bat Wars Tournament.

15U Brooklyn Baseball Academy
The Brooklyn Baseball Academy is located in Yakima.  In the past they have always fielded strong baseball teams most recently defeating and eliminating the Mounties from last years USSSA Bat Wars Tournament by an 11 - 8 score.  It was a game in which the Mounties blew a sizeable lead.  With any kind of luck the Mounties would certainly welcome a rematch with Brooklyn in this tournament.
