Wallenstein’s Great Effort Goes Unnoticed
Posted May 10, 2016
The Orioles were coming off of a 1-0 win over Tri-Valley and the Orioles wanted to win back to back games. The Orioles pitched Junior Braedon Wallenstein who had recently pitched well against Garretson and Canton.
Wallenstein’s pitching was very good as he walked through four innings of Garretson hitters with two hits and zero runs. In the fifth inning, a two out walk followed by an error scored the first run of the game to make it 1-0 Garretson. Lennox was held in check until the 7th when they needed to have a run or they lose. Leisinger had a great at bat that finished in a single to left field. Nick Kayl worked a long at bat that finished in a strikeout and Jacob Hinker coming to bat. As Leisinger stole, Hinker hit a blooper down the right field line that ended up dropping but Leisinger was thrown out at 2nd. With two outs, Brock Stien came to the plate and after fouling off a few pitches, he went down swinging and Lennox fell 1-0.
Lennox had gotten a great performance from Braedon Wallenstein as he only gave up one walk and three hits. He also gave up 0 earned runs while striking out five.
Lennox now prepares for Sioux Falls Christian tonight in Renner at 5:30. This game is a much anticipated rematch from their first meeting in Lennox that ended in a 6-3 Lennox win. Tonight’s game could be a very close and fun game, so come on out to Renner tonight. It is supposed to be in the fifties for temperature and so a jacket could be needed tonight.
Thanks for reading, have a nice day and GOOOOOOO Orioles!
