LHS Baseball Players Succeed On and Off the Field
Posted May 1, 2017
While on the field, the Lennox Orioles Baseball team is 10 and 0. However, the field isn't the only place where some players are succeeding. Tonight was the annual National Honor's Society Academic awards night for Lennox High School.
Many awards were given out such as first semester honor roll achievements, scholarships, senior gold cords, along with several other awards. Lennox had quite a few players who were involved in these prestigous awards. The players included are Brock Stien, Braedon Wallenstein, Jacob Ziegler, Zach Foss, Brock Anderson, Tyson Stoebner, Zach Wipf, Zach Leisinger and Josh VanHouten.
The seniors combined to receive 5 scholarships; Ziegler recieved two, Stien recieved two and Wallenstein one. These seniors will be missed after this season and they will have bright futures as they all look to continue their education.
LHS baseball doesn't make many errors defensively most likely because they have their fundamentals down. Fundamentals stem from knowing baseball and having baseball knowledge. This team is a very smart team who not only has school and education knowledge, but also baseball knowledge, thus is why Lennox has had a quite successful season.
Check back tomorrow for another LHS Baseball Article.
