Tuesday night the Cologne Hollanders played against the traveling Young American Cardinals. The Cardinals scored one in the first, one in the fourth, and two insurance runs in the eighth. Zach Nelson started on the bump for the Hollanders and gave a quality start, but the Hollanders bats just couldn't get rolling to get the win for the young pitcher. Cologne was able to cut the score to two to one by scoring a run in the seventh as Carter Clemensen hit an RBI single to plate Tanner Luebke, but they unable to do much more.
The Hollanders look to turn it around tonight (Thursday, June 29) as they play the Irish in Green Isle. First pitch is schedule for 7:30pm. Ga Hollanders.
