The Cologne Hollanders played the New Germany Dutchmen last night for a midweek league showdown. The boys were able to stop the skid as they were able to beat New Germany by a score of 10-0 in eight innings. The show was led by the Clemensen brothers. Casey Clemensen was able to pick up the win in his sixth start and go the distance giving up zero runs off of only five hits. Casey also managed get a hit and and RBI off of his only plate appearance in the sixth inning. Carter Clemensen had yet another big night at the plate racking up four hits (with one double and one triple), two runs, and three RBI's. Tim Swanson and Tanner Luebke also had great nights at the plate picking up two hits each. Joey Lilya learned that being Kyle Twait's sub can hurt as he got plunked twice and added two runs scored.
Up next, the Hollanders travel to Glencoe Friday night (July 7) for what is shaping to be an important match-up against the Brewers. First pitch is at 7:30pm. Come support the guys on the road. Ga Hollanders!
