Mounites fend off Cougar attack

It was an action packed weekend with a 4 game series with the Chilliwack Cougars.

After splitting games in Chillwack on Saturday 7-6 and 0-6, the two teams split again at Hillcrest Park on Sunday 2-7 and 7-6.

Highlights from the weekend saw McConnell pitch a complete game for the W, Sun with the PLUS D in CF in every game, and Lowther striking out 6 in two innings of relief work. Solid pitching efforts from McCullough, Sun and F. Sale kept us in each and every game. 

The offence was lead by F. Sale, Sun, McConnell and Soper who all collected multiple hits and Simpkin and L. Sale with timely 2 RBI hits.

Next up: Mounties host Delta Tigers at Hillcrest on Tuesday, May 7th with a 6:15 start.
