Countdown to Christmas
(Dec 25/11)

BC has attended these tournaments for the past 11 years and has had notable Canadian major league players and draft picks such as Morneau, Dempster, Harden, Francis, Loewen, Nicholson, Saunders, Tosoni and Mathieson. Minor leaguers,  Orr, Aumont, Gillies, Lawrie, Lotzkar and virtually all BC players that have been drafted on the team over the years and has produced 61 players that have gone on to professional baseball .

The team was originally started by Andrew Grant and Mark Hiscott from Vancouver Baseball and has now being handled over to Doug Mathieson from the Langley Blaze and who also is a Canadian scout for the Minnesota Twins. This is done to expose players to schools and scouts that normally they would not see and promote BC players.

Our goal is to give players the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of major league and college scouts and get the exposure they deserve. Over 600 colleges and all 30 MLB teams receive rosters and with new NCAA rules many colleges zero in on the 10th and 11th graders. The Sr classic draws in excess of 400 scouts with the Jr showcase last year recording 145. The Perfect Game is the elite of the elite with 85% of the top 10 round hs draft icks in attendance on average.
We will be selecting players from BC as well as the rest of Canada with some international players mixed in, and would be pleased to have you as part of the team.
In order to comply with NCAA rules, it is understood that MLB teams are not allowed to provide financial assistance to scout teams but can provide coaching and organization of events as well as jerseys and hats
For an application, please send resume by email to: twinsscoutteam@yahoo.com
