The Canora Supers are the 2023 Southeast Senior Baseball League champions as they defeated the Parkland Pirates 3 games to 1 in the final. It was an exciting, well played and well attended final. Congrats to both teams on tremendous seasons.

The Parkland Pirates and Canora Supers have advanced to the league final series. The final series will be a best of 5. Game 1 is Tuesday July 18 in Canora at 6:15. Game 2 is Wednesday July 19 in Yorkton at 8 pm. If Tuesday is rained out than: Game 1 Wednesday July 19 in Canora at 6:15 PM, and Game 2 is Thursday July 20 in Yorkton 8pm Games 3-5 TBD We will update this when finalized

The Canora Supers and the Parkland Pirates each lead their respective series 1-0 with wins on Monday July 10. Game 2 of the Canora/Langenburg series was tied 7-7 after 10 innings on Tuesday in Langenburg, and will continue Friday July 14 in Langenburg at 7:15 PM in the top of the 11th inning.

Marlins at Pirates, and Roblin at Langenburg were both rained out on July 4. Langenburg will travel to Roblin today (July 5) and attempt to play two 5 inning games. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 MB time. The Yorkton Marlins and Parkland Pirates will also play a double header on Wednesday July 6 in Melville, starting at 6:30 PM. Both games will be 5 innings as well

No makeup dates for these games have been announced.

Posted Jul 13/21 - Playoff Scenarios

With the addition of the Yorkton Marlins, the SESBL went from having three playoff eligible teams, to four teams for the 2021 season. The playoff format will be the #1 seed vs #4, and #2 vs #3 in a best of three semi final series. The winners of each series will play a best of five final. The higher seed will receive home field advantage for all series'. The semi final series will start the week of Monday, July 19, while the final will start the following week.

On Tuesday May 25, a conference call took place with members from the Langenburg Legends, Parkland Pirates, Canora Supers, Grandview Lakers, Yorkton 18U Cardinals, and a 2022 Yorkton expansion team. After further discussion, the 2020 SESBL season will not take place. As time has passed, several teams have had too many players not able to fully commit to the season. The only teams able to commit were the Parkland Pirates and Canora Supers.

Posted Aug 11/19 - Pirates 2019 Senior AA Tier 2 Provincial Champions

Congratulations to the Parkland Pirates as they captured the Senior AA Tier 2 Provincial Championship this weekend in Lloydminster with a 4-2 victory over the North Battleford Beavers in the final. It is their organizations' first Provincial title since the 2015 season, and the first Provincial title for the SESBL since Langenburg captured the Senior AA Tier 4 title in 2016. On behalf of the Southeast Senior Baseball League we would like to express our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of long time umpire John Vanderhulst,  who passed away unexpectedly on June 24. He was a gentle, easy going man who was active in the community and was always there to lend a helping hand. It was always a pleasure to interact with him at the ball park and he will be missed by all.

The Roblin Stars at Parkland Pirates game originally scheduled for Monday June 24 at Jubilee 1 at 7 PM has been moved to June 24 at 6:15 PM on Jubilee 2 to accomodate for the WCBL Yorkton Cardinals vs Melville Mils rescheduled game. Thanks to Roblin, the Pirates, and the umpires for making this happen as the Cardinals have several rainout games to be made up with limited dates to reschedule

Posted May 21/19 - Lyndon Zimmer With the No No

Tuesday May 21st was a magical night for Lyndon Zimmer of the Roblin Stars as he stymied the Canora Supers with a no hitter in a 3-0 Stars victory. Zimmer had 16 strikeouts as he simply dominated all game long. He also contributed with a pair of doubles and a run scored to give the Stars a record of 3 wins and 0 losses on the season. Congrats to Lyndon on a great performance!

Posted Jun 29/18 - Langenburg Legends Win Pennant
For the first time since 2014, the regular season pennant winner will be a team other than the Yorkton Yankees as the Langenburg Legends have clinched 1st place in the regular season standings and will receive a bye into Round 2 of the playoffs. The Legends are 11-1-1 for 23 points. The next closest team can only get as high as 22 points

In 2014 the Swan River Reds were the regular season pennant winners by virtue of having the highest winning percentage. That regular season was shortened by the extraordinary amount of rainfall in the Parkland region.

Tyrel Thorpe of the Langenburg Legends (formerly Indians) is now the league's Vice President. Greg Andreychuk of the Canora Supers is the new league webmaster/statistician.
