With temperatures reaching 100 degrees in South Bend, the tired and jetlagged Spurs simply came out flat and could not cash in their opporunities stranding 11 runners on base as they fell 6-2 to the Tennessee Knockouts.
The Spurs loaded the bases 3 times but could not capitalize. They took the lead early, but as the heat and humidity started to sap their energy, the Spurs committed 4 errors to give TKO a lead they would not relinquish.
Misic and Williams pitched well in the loss while Sloan led the attack with 2 hits and an RBI. The Spurs must now regroup, get some rest before facing Indiana`s Region Storm on Friday.
