Competing in their last game of the the tourney, the Spurs kept their stingy way as they blanked Grand Rapids 5-0. Misic, Williams and Reston combined for a 3 hit shutout, each allowing only 1 hit. Jake The Hopper MacDonald and Max Lefty Williams lead the way offensively with two hits apiece.

The Spurs closed the Notre Dame classic with a 2-1-2 record allowing only 9 runs and scoring 25. Unfortunately, one bad inning in the heat and a thunder storm cost the Spurs a chance at the championship. The Canadian squad can take solace in the fact that they very competitive against the best U15 teams in the Mid-West. They can also take pride in the fact they were the only team that held eventual champs Cincy Flames scoreless in their lighting shortened game.

The boys represented Cloverdale with class and showed that Canadian teams can keep up with the best. Getting the boys away from the hotel may be a little challenging as the National Dance and Baton Twirling Championships is hitting Notre Dame and 3 bus load of teenage girls just check in our hotel...
