Cloverdale Spurs  Seeking Coaching Staff for Second Bantam AAA Team

The Cloverdale Spurs intend to field a second Bantam AAA team in 2012. In addition to the existing Bantam AAA team under the guidance of John Parker, the Spurs will be running two teams to provide more playing opportunities for dedicated Bantam age players.

Within the framework of the Cloverdale Spurs Bantam AAA program, we are looking for an independent coaching staff to provide ongoing development of Bantam age players to help them achieve a high level of skills and teach them the values of discipline and sportsmanship. The Bantam AAA season starts in January with team selection try-outs and includes between 70 and 80 league, tournament and exhibition games throughout BC and Washington State. The season usually concludes with the BC Championships in early August.  

The Spurs are seeking a dynamic, responsible role-model to provide instruction and coaching. The ideal candidate is someone who is prepared to put in the necessary amount of time and energy required to coach young baseball players, enjoys teaching the game, exhibits patience, and will promote a safe and positive baseball environment.

Interested candidates must be willing to complete their NCCP coaching certification and go through the standard Cloverdale Minor Baseball Security Background Check. This is a volunteer coaching position within the fast growing Cloverdale Minor Program that provides a unique opportunity to build on your coaching credentials. Travel and gaz allowance are provided to cover out of pocket expenses.
