A post season award has been given to Laker Baseball's own, Tyler Robertson.  Robertson has been named the 4th Region Player of the Year as voted on by coaches in the 4th Region. Tyler, SS/P, had a stellar Junior year campaign at the plate and on the mound. He led the Lakers in several categories: Hits (54), Batting Average (.509), On Base Percentage (.606), Doubles (20), and Home Runs (7), RBI's (41). Tyler also scored 46 Runs in the 2012 season, which was good for second on the team.

 After starting the season with some arm issues, Robertson rebounded strongly on the bump the 2nd half of the season. Robertson finished with a 6-1 record, 1 Save, 33.33 Innings Pitched, allowed 5 Earned Runs, 36 Strikeouts, and a 1.05 ERA (Team Leading).
