On April 29th of this year Coach David Rexroat earned his 200th victory as the head coach of the Mighty Lakers. The Lakers defeated Clinton Co in thrilling fashion with a 5-4 come from behind victory. The win also locked up the #1 seed for the upcoming district tournament.

 Coach Rexroat became the head man at RCHS in 2002. During his tenure Coach Rexroat was tallied 206 wins, 98 loses, for a winning percentage of 68%. During that time Rex has continued the storied tradition on Laker baseball with 7 District Championships, 2 Region Championships, Region runner-up, and 2 state appearances. Since 2002, 19 former Lakers of Coach Rexroat have signed to play collegiate baseball at various levels. Including 2 College All-Americans, Chris Grider and Victor Wooldridge. Mid South Pitcher of the Year, Adam Blakey. Gulf South Freshman of the year and 2 time Gulf South All Conference Selection, Nick Huckaby, just to name a few.

 Coach Rexroat has also been instrumental with the organization of the youth baseball leagues and instruction of the young players of our county.
