Post from 07/01/07: The MI 178 game Friday night was cancelled due to field issues and the Jr Legion games at Waccamaw was cancelled due to umpires not showing up. This is the 2nd time this has happened this year. I am not sure who is responsible for the umpires but it is pretty disappointing considering how many people make the effort to play. The coaches, the players, supporting friends and parents all make the effort but two umpires who either just didn't show, were never scheduled, or were never followed up with can ruin what could have been a good evening of baseball. (Just my two cents)
