201 East Jefferson, Phoenix, AZ, US The U.S. Airways Center has been home to the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Coyotes, but also the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League, the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA, and also the young Phoenix Roadrunners of the ECHL. Originally opened in 1992, the groundbreaking began in 1988 for the arena. The stadium was opened as America West Arena, and can seat 18,422 and 16,210 for basketball and hockey, respectively. Also, the Center has been home to countless concerts and some wrestling events. It is one of two stadiums that sit in Phoenix for major sports. Chase Field is the other, home to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
