The Oswego Club Baseball team emerged victorious behind the stellar hitting of Brian O' Shaughnessy (2 HR), Mike Boyce (1 HR), Tom Small, John Dahl and Joe Landon. O' Shaughnessy, Boyce, Small, Dillon Archer, and Anthony Kolnberger all turned in multiple RBI's to help Boyce's cause. Joe Tullo and Sam Roes each scored 2+ runs to help contribute from the dish. On the mound, Boyce held Hartwick to 3 runs, 1 earned, while striking out 9 and walking 2. Overall, dominant performance in all facets of the game from the Lakers on this single Sunday 7-inning game.
On Sunday September 26th, the SUNY Oswego Club Baseball team completed an epic comeback to salvage a 3 game series with SUNY Geneseo. After being down 9-1 going into the bottom of the 4th inning, Oswego answered back with 3 runs with 2 outs with 3 clutch singles in a row from Anthony Kolnberger, Nick Dreimiller, and Bryan Kane to make it 9-4. Geneseo made it 10-4 in the top of the 6th, and Oswego answered back with 2 more in the bottom half of the inning with doubles from Adam Clawson, Joe Tullo, and Nick Dreimiller to make it 10-6 Geneseo. Tullo came on to pitch in the 7th to shut the Geneseo offense down to set up some dramatics in the last inning (bottom of the 7th). Geneseo got the first 2 outs of the inning quickly until Matt Chevier got hit by pitch, and John Dahl pinch ran for him and stole second base. Matt Hammill then reached on an error by the shortstop, which allowed Dahl to score. Brian "Nessy" O'Shaughnessy came up and smacked an RBI double to make it 10-8 Geneseo. Next Tullo came up to bat and sent the Oswego team into a frenzy with a monster 2 run home run to tie the game at 10-10 and send it to extras. In the 8th Geneseo plated 1 run to take the lead, followed by a putout with the infield in at home by shortstop Jared Ungerland to catcher Matt Miller who was knocked over by the runner but held onto to ball to keep Oswego within one run. In the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs again, Mike Boyce knocked in Kane to tie the game yet again at 11-11. Tullo shut Geneseo down in the top of the ninth to set Oswego up for a walkoff win. Nessy led off with a booming double off the right-center field fence in the air, followed by a walk to Tullo. Miller then laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt with two strikes on him to move the runners to 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Kolnberger was walked intentionally to load to bases for Dreimiller who struck out. Then Kane came up and worked a bases loaded walk to push across the 12th and winning run to send Oswego home with a 12-11 walkoff victory, their first of the year.
