The Pembina Valley Orioles opened the 2011 campaign with their annual tryout camp this afternoon. The Orioles saw a turnout of 20 players for the three hour workout, which will be completed tomorrow with another three hour workout. Coach Brent Laverty was very pleased with the turnout and was encouraged with the future talent.
Day 2 of Oriole tryouts runs tomorrow from 1-4 PM at Buhler Field. The Orioles open the 2011 regular season in Altona on May 8 against a tough Bison squad. |
