| The Braves played their first scrimmage for the year against a very strong Wando team. Wando is ranked pre-season #2 in 4A for South Carolina. Socastee struggled early but then calmed down and only allowed 4 runs after the 1st two innings. Pitching for the Braves were Jason Tomlinson, Gunnar Kines, Ayres Renfro, Matt McKinney, and Cody Rice. Hitting for Socastee were Ayres Renfro(1-4), Cody Rice(1-3, 2B), Kyle Presley(1-3), Tim Starkey(2-3), and Travers Woodward(1-1). Next scrimmage is against Andrews at Andrews on Thursday. |
