| The Braves win their Mingo Bay opener in a high scoring game 16-15 over visiting Gar-Field from Virginia. They had 16 hits led by Cody Rice, Jason Tomlinson, and Kyle Presley with Cody hitting a grand slam. Pitching for Socastee were Richard Carmichael, Sean Bonawitz, Gunnar Kines, and Cody Rice. Gunnar picks up the win.
