Braves end their season in a Lower State Championship bracket elimination game to Brookland-Cayce by a score of 10-4. They should be proud of the season though as at the beginning the year they were predicted to finish last in their region yet finished second in the region at 7-3 and won a very difficult District VIII Championship to enter the Lower States.
Pitching for the Braves were Kyle Presley and Travers Woodward. They both had great years on the mound and should be strong next year as returners. Hitting for Socastee were Ayres Renfro (1-4), Tim Starkey(1-3), Jason Tomlinson (1-3, RBI), Travers Woodward (2-4, 2B, RBI), Cody Rice (1-3, RBI), Kyle Presley (1-3), and Justin Vreeland (1-2).
