| Posted Apr 2/12 - Braves Get Win in First Mingo Bay |
| The Braves beat the South Range Raiders, a team from Ohio, to win game one of the Mingo Bay Tournament. South Range struck first with a single run in the top of the first and held the lead until the bottom of the sixth when the Braves managed to push across an unearned run to tie the game at 1-1. The Braves would then win in walk off fashion, as Walker Darnell knocked a bases loaded base hit into left field to score Kenny Taylor with the winning run. Dylan Thompson started for the Braves and pitched 6 strong inning, giving up just three hits (two of them infield hits) and only 1 run. Kyle Smith pitched a 1,2,3 scoreless seventh with a strikeout to get the win for the Braves. (more details on 12 Varsity and stats posted) |
