Posted Apr 2/10 - Braves win C Bracket of Mingo Bay
The Braves defeat Upper Saint Claire from Pittsburgh to win the "C" bracket of the Mingo Bay Classic by a score of 8-4. Socastee's bracket from early in the week proved the strongest as the teams (Fairmont, Greenville, Cherry Hill) all won on Thursday and 3 of the 4 won on Friday to win their brackets. Kyle Presley pitched well and Gunnar Kines closed to lead Socastee from the mound. Hitting for the Braves were Justin Vreeland (3-4, 3RBIs), Jake Davis (1-4, RBI), Tim Starkey (1-4, RBI). Travers Woodward (2-4), Walker Darnell (1-2), Charlie Nicholson (1-2, 2B, RBI), Gunnar Kines (1-2, 2B, RBI), and Kenny Taylor (1-3)
