Here’s the rule in the new rulebook… FOR THIS YEAR -- Max length is 33, max diameter is 2-3/4.

 

In 2014, they are looking at a limitation from 2-3/4 to 2-5/8, for peewee.

 

20.04 Bats

Bats should be round and may be made of wood or other approved material including aluminum, magnesium, fiberglass, nylon or laminated wood. These mentioned bats shall be permissible in league and tournament play. The bat cannot be altered in any fashion. Sizes shall be in accordance with prevailing CFAB regulations for the age divisions in question.

Bats may be taped to a distance not exceeding sixteen inches (16") from the handle. Max Length (inches)			Max Diameter (inches)

Note: By resolution at the Nov. 2012 A.G.M., BCMBA is exploring new requirements for bats to be introduced as a rule for the 2014 season. This could include a limitation to 2-5/8 dia. from 2 ¾, minus 5 bats for 15U A/AA and wood only for 15U AAA and up.
