11-8-10   The Outfitters will be playing in the LVABU Winter Season that is going to start in December of 2010. The team is currently looking for a few players to be added onto the team's Winter season roster.

 

11-6-10   Carlos Mazon has been taken off the roster for personal reasons. We hope to see Carlos back in future seasons.

 

10-2-10   Dj Paule is now taking the season off for personal reasons and is looking forward to his return in upcoming seasons.

 

9-26-10   The Outfitters would like to thank Chris from Mike's Drain and Plumbing for the Food and Drinks between the doubleheaders today!!!

 

9-19-10    Jason Gschwender has been picked up by the Outfitters to help the team be more where needed. Jason is one of the best utility players and team players in the league. He always comes ready to play and will do whatever it taked to help out the team.

 

9-13-10     The Las Vegas Outfitters have been looking to fill the rest of the team for the 2010 Fall Season. The Outfitters are bringing out Jeff Brignola, and Mike Campo to help the Outfitters on the field and at the plate.

 

9-5-10    The Las Vegas Outfitters choose Austin Geschke, Derek Schmidt, Mike Finateri, and Doug Davis as the 2010 Fall season allstars.

 

9-1-10     Willy Keller is unable to play the 2010 Fall season with the Outfitters due to work. We look forward to Willy coming out next season to play on the team.

 

7-25-10    The Las Vegas Outfitters are proud to announce thier additions for the 2010 fall season. They are, Willy Keller, Chris Gschwender, and Dj Paule. With these 3 additions the Outfitters look to be solid in every aspect of the game.

 

7-25-10   Outfitters released Dewan Meriweather and Chad Gauvin. Jason Davis is taking the 2010 Fall season off for personal reasons.

 

7-18-10     David Jones is the 1st Outfitter pitcher to have 14k's in a single game

                  Cj Najera is the 1st Outfitter to have a 2 homerun game

 

6-6-10  Jason Davis is activated fron the DL.

 

5-27-10  Jason Davis was put on the DL during the game today. He injured his knee off the field. He is trying to make it back for the 1st round of playofffs.

 

5-27-10   The Outfitters select Austin Geschke, Mike Finatari, and Dewan Meriweather to represent the Outfitters in the 2010 Spring season All-Star game.

 

5-23-10   David Jones is the 1st Outfitter to get 100 strike outs on the mound.

 

5-20-10  Matt Gunner and Al have been released from the team. Matt is still recovering from his injury and might be back in future seasons.

 

5-2-10   Matt Gunner has been placed on the DL after missing his 5th game in a row. He had to go to the ER for his knee that he has had trouble with. The doctor told him to stay off of it for awhile otherwise he might tear his ACL. We don't want to risk and injury so we have placed him on the DL until futher notice. Matt was one of the big bats in the Outfitter's lineup, he was hitting a .529 AVG with 6 Rbis's.

 

4-27-10     Cj Najera has signed on to play with the Outfitters. With Cj's experience and talent on the mound he makes the Outfitters pitching staff even deeper. Cj also puts another great bat in the dangerous Outfitters lineup and more speed on the bases for the team.

 

3-29-10   Outfitters have signed on 2 new players to help the team win the championship this season. Mike Finateri, and Dewan Meriweather are the newest Outfitters. Both players are going to add power in the lineup and depth on the pitching staff. We are looking forward to these 2 key players to help fill in the gaps the team has been looking to fill.

 

10-24-09     DJ Paule was ejected from the bandits game due to pushing another player during the game. He is suspended from the teams next game against the All Stars. The league president still is trying to make up his mind on what Dj's final suspension is going to be. We have been told the final decision will be made Monday.

 

10-18-09   Trevor Williams is now off the DL and is back on the field helping the team get wins.

 

10-11-09 Trevor Williams is still out with a ankle problem. He is looking at another week on the DL.

 

 

7-30-09 The Outfitters have finished their 1st season as a team. The team struggled during the season at times, trying to build the team and dealing with injuries. However, at the end of the season the team really came together and was able to make it threw the playoffs beating 3 teams to make it to the championship game. They played the Hurricanes in what was a good game, although the Outfitters fell short losing 8 to 6. The team is keeping their heads high and are looking forward to the upcoming fall season with high hopes to a successful and fun season.

 

7-23-09  Outfitters officially add 3 new players to the upcoming fall season they are, Justin Lombardo, Jamie Proffer, and Trevor Williams. With these additions to the team we are hoping to be a more competetive team and be able to have fun at the same time.

 

7-19-09  Outfitters are now Division 1 Champions. Championship game is Divison 1 champs(Outfitters) vs. Division 2 champs(Huricanes)

 

5-23-09  Joe Limon has agreed to come onto the coaching staff for the fall 2009 season. With Joe's expierence, and with Doug and David we are hoping for great things in the upcoming fall season. There will be some changes made and some additions to the team, all will be in the best interest for the teams success.

 

5-16-09   DAVIS AUTO has decided to sponsor the Las Vegas Outfitters for the 2009 fall season. The Outfitters would like to say thank you for your support!!!!!!

 

5-16-09  1st season as a team is coming to a end. With one regular season game remaining the Outfitters are looking forward to next season. The team will carry a 15 man roster and 12 of the spots have been filled. The team is sad to see a few guys go, but wish them the best. However, the team is proud to welcome 2 new players to the team, Tony and Justin. We hope to come back stronger next season and look forward to another fun season.

 

4-26-09  The Outfitters have made another roster move. Its hard to see another player go, but when a players attitude and lack of hussle can bring down a team, its hard to ignore. Chris Brown is no longer a Las Vegas Outfitter.

 

4-22-09  Coach Doug and his coaching staff have had many discussions on the recent team moves. With the removing of certain players, and the strong additions to the team. The team roster is getting bigger and we realize the complications some might see that this might bring. We are looking to the positives and are trying our hardest to make the team better. We believe with the recent additions, we are now stronger than ever. We hope that the team continues to get better and to have fun playing as a team. We are looking forward to going out and trying our hardest to earn as many wins as we can.

 

4-22-09  It has been finalized today the final additions to the Outfitters team for the '09 spring season. Probably some of the biggest news in the ABU, is the signing of the league commissioner and former manager of the Dirty Beavers, Corey Moninger. Corey who is now the oldest player on the Outfitters team is looking to bring a lot of knowledge behind the plate, along with experience and his great attitude on and off the field. Also, the Outfitters have signed outfielder Jerry Mazzamuto onto the team. We are looking forward to jerry bringing a lot of offensive power to the plate, along with solid defense in the outfield.

 

4-17-09  The Outfitters are sad to see another player gone from the team. Mike Pecoff is no longer a Las Vegas Outfitter.

 

4-17-09  Coach Doug had his 2nd surgery today. The doctors had to remove the large screw threw his ankle so there will be more range of movement in Doug's ankle. The surgery went smooth and the doctors say that everything is looking to be on track. Doug is looking towards a full recovery and returning back to the field to play. Only time will tell on his return date, he currently goes to physical therapy twice a week to rehab the injury.

 

4-16-09  Joe Limon has signed on to play with the Las Vegas Outfitters. We are looking forward to Joe's solid defense and huge power at the plate. We also can't wait to see him get on the mound to show off his many skills. With his knowledge of the game he is a great addition to the team.

 

4-15-09   Game this Sunday 4-19-09 has been moved to Silverado. Game time is still the same 12:30.

 

4-12-09   2009 Fall Season Information Released

With the 2009 Spring Season reaching the mid-season mark, it is time to begin thinking about the upcoming fall season. Here is some basic information regarding the upcoming season:

Number of teams : There will be a maximum of 10 teams in the 2009 Fall Season

Season Length: There will be an 18 game regular season. Games will mostly be played on Sundays, with 2 weeknight games per team. There may be some Saturday games as well. Each team will face each other twice during the season.

Playoff Format: The top six teams will advance to a single elimination post-season. The first round will see the #6 team face the #3 team and the #5 team facing the #4 team. The winners will face the #1 and #2 teams in the semifinals, with the winners of those games facing off in the championship game.

Opening Day: Saturday, August 1st.

End of Regular Season: Sunday, November 22nd.

Play In Round: Saturday, December 5th.

Semi Finals: Sunday, December 6th.

Finals: Sunday, December 13th.

League Fees: $950 Per Team (Umpire Fees Not Included).

Fields: Whalen Field, Silverado Ranch, Paul Meyer, Silver Bowl.

4-10-09   The water main at Paul Myer park busted today. The all star game and homerun derby has been moved to Silverado. Same date and same times.

 

4-5-09  David Jones has been selected to play in the allstar game.

 

4-5-09  Ricky Bass is no longer a Las Vegas Outfitter, and has been removed from the allstar game. His attitude and laziness was the reason for being removed from the team. 

 

4-1-09  Daniel Osorio has signed on and is now a Las Vegas Outfitter! We are looking forward to his strong defense and agresiveness on the field and at the plate. All around a great addition to the team!

 

3-30-09  Pro division's homerun derby has been schedule for 9:30am Easter Sunday before the all star game. It is only open to the all stars and team managers, it cost $10 per player. Each player is allowed to pick their own pitcher.

 

3-29-09   The Outfitter's have picked the teams all stars!!  Dj paule, Jojo Altizer, and Ricky Bass will be representing the Outfitters this year for the 2009 all star game. The game is Easter Sunday, 12:30 at Paul Myer.

 

3-20-09   It's been approved by the officials! DJ Paule is now a Las Vegas Outfitter! The former Bandit is the last addition to the Outfitters team as of now. DJ brings a lot of talent and aggresiveness to any team and we are happy to have him apart of the Outfitters team.

 

3-17-09   It's official!  Alex Rodriguez the former bandit is now a Las Vegas Outfitter. With Alex's experience with the game he brings solid defense and power to plate. With the outfitters 1st win of the season and the addition of A-ROD the Outfitters are looking stronger going into week 4, and the team is looking forward to the rest of the season!

 

2-25-09     Coach Doug went in for xrays today. In the xrays shows his 9 screws and titanium plate. Doug goes in for a check up with his surgeon tomorrow to find out when he can walk again. Lets all keep your fingers crossed and hope for a full recovery. Don"t forget to go to the forum section and leave comments.

 

2-23-09     With opening day a week away, the Outfitters are looking forward to a great season. With this newly formed team and many talented players we are looking to be a competetive team this season. We are looking forward to our strong pitching staff, solid defense, and aggresive bats at the plate. The team is also waiting in anticipation of the return of manager Doug Davis. Doug is recovering from a dislocated ankle, and a broken tib and fib that had happened playing for Danny's empire team.
