Back in the Win column

We got off to our traditional slow start Friday night against the Longhorns, and Cole was on the bump for us, working his ass off for 4.2 innings battling the horns hard. Got to give him full credit for his effort in this one, knowing that most of our pitchers aren't really ready to throw very many innings yet or aren't available right now, he studded up huge and deserved better than his stat line without question.

A combination of a few walks, some good hitting by the horns, and a few bad breaks put us in a 11-4 hole early, but in the 6th inning, the boys worked some wicked ABs and some clutch knocks, giving us the lead heading into the 7th.  14-12 Giants win.

Here's the highlights:

-Riki clutching up with a big knock in the 6th and a 2 hit night at the dish

-Bades again with a solid night in all aspects, working 3 walks.

-Cole, 90 pitches, thank you!

-Parker going out and throwing strikes

-Kade with the shut down save, slammed the door and looked good doing it.

-Mak calling a great game, and making 2 outs in the 6th inning...I promise, no one will remember it by tomorrow!

-The rookies, they're a bunch of beauts who can play and have been great for the banter on the bench.
