Posted Dec 28/09 - Stephane Legault makes Edmonton Oil King Debut

Stephane Legault who is a former baseball academy member has been called up to the Western Hockey League Edmonton Oil Kings and will be in the line up tomorrow against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Excerpt from the Edmonton Oil Kings Website:

The Oil Kings General Manager Bob Green made some moves over the Christmas break to balance out the roster with players participating in the International tournaments.   Forwards Stephane Legault and Mitchell Moroz will both get a chance to taste what life in the Western Hockey League is like.

"This is a great opportunity for these young men."  said Oil Kings General Manager Bob Green.    "Mitchell had a great debut when he played for us earlier this season and Stephane has been lighting up in Midget triple 'A' so we're really looking forward to see how they respond to playing against some kids a little older and in some cases a little bigger than what they're used to."

Legault is an Edmonton native who will be making his Oil Kings debut.  The Oil Kings 7th round pick in 2008 had 71 points in 34 games with the Southside Athletic Club in the AMHL last season and is currently leading the AMHL this season with 16 goals and 26 assists for 42 points in 25 games for the SSAC Boston Pizza Athletics.
