Friends of the Academy Alumni Gala

Dear Parents,

My name is Darcie Rea and my son is in Grade 9.  At the parent meeting it was stated that an Alumni Gala and Silent Auction be planned.

The dates of either December, when returning Alumni are home or early May would both be good choices.  The parent committee came to an agreement that December may be too tight for this year but possibly the next.  The annual awards ceremony for STM and FX could be incorporated in May as well.

It is my understanding that we have several parents within the Academy group that have extensive experience in this area.  I just don’t know who you are...yet.

Please reply to Jennifer or myself if you can offer some of your time to help plan this event.

Once I have few parents I would like to have a meeting to get started on planning.  I am looking into venues at this time, if you have a contact for one that could offer us a great location and pricing of course please come forward.

We will also be soliciting donations very soon and tax receipts are available to donors from the Friends of the Academy.
